Cai Shen Fishing: Editions, Bonus Features and Counters

Cai Shen Fishing is a fish-shooting title from JDB Gaming with an underwater setting and a Chinese God of Wealth theme. Its feature names refer to several different quantities: rewards, multipliers, ammunition and room options. Understanding which quantity a label describes is more useful than treating every large number as money. The original title also needs to be distinguished from the separately listed Cai Shen Fishing Jackpot.

Identify the original and Jackpot editions

JDB’s original product page names red-envelope rewards, Cai Shen appearances, a fortune wheel and bonus ammunition. Its wider catalogue separately lists Cai Shen Fishing Jackpot with upgraded 3D presentation, a jackpot system and an Eight-Way Blessing feature. The shared theme does not establish identical triggers, reward tables or session rules.

A cropped banner showing only “Cai Shen” cannot settle the edition question. The full title, provider name and matching help screen are better identifiers. If a video shows a feature absent from the documented edition, first consider whether the video concerns a different release rather than assuming that feature is hidden in every version.

Read a feature label with its unit attached

A counter reading 40 shots, a label reading 40× and an entry reading 40 credits describe different things. Shots count possible actions. A multiplier needs a defined base quantity. Credits are an accounting unit whose denomination must be known before any currency comparison is meaningful.

For example, a fictional 30× label applied to a base of two units produces 60 units. Applied to a base of five units, it produces 150 units. The multiplication is straightforward, but the label by itself does not tell you which base applies. Neither calculation establishes that a particular Cai Shen feature awards those amounts.

Keep the full label in a note or screenshot: number, unit and feature name. Removing the unit to produce a headline such as “received 40” makes later interpretation harder. A fish value displayed on a shared screen is also not, by itself, a personal account credit.

Bonus ammunition is a count, not a guaranteed award

JDB describes the Fortune Bazooka as a feature that can provide a randomly determined quantity of free bullets, with a possibility of further ammunition. That description identifies a resource within the game; it does not state that each bullet becomes a successful capture or a fixed cash return.

Consider this deliberately simplified counter example, with no claim that it reproduces the game’s precise rules:

  • A feature begins with 40 bonus shots.
  • Twelve shots are used, leaving 28.
  • An additional allotment of 20 shots is recorded, bringing the counter to 48.

The arithmetic is 40 − 12 + 20 = 48 remaining shots. It does not mean 48 captures, 48 credits or a 48% chance of an outcome. To turn an ammunition count into an expected monetary value, much more would be needed: the outcome model, eligibility conditions and settlement rules, among other information.

The word “free” also describes the feature’s treatment of those shots, not the financial result of the entire session that preceded it. A feature can add actions without reversing an earlier loss. Counting resources and calculating a session balance are separate tasks.

Why room names need careful matching

The original JDB page uses different English room labels in its feature list and introductory text. It does not provide a complete one-to-one mapping between those labels. That is a reason to preserve the exact wording on the version being described, rather than asserting that one label always means the same thing as another.

A room name that sounds advanced does not prove a better probability distribution. Nor does a beginner-sounding label establish a smaller financial exposure. Those conclusions require the actual limits and rules. A useful room comparison records the displayed name, permitted unit range, feature restrictions and version identifier, leaving unavailable fields blank.

A wheel feature does not automatically mean a progressive jackpot

A wheel can display a selection of rewards without representing a shared growing pool. A progressive jackpot requires its own rules about the pool, eligibility and award conditions. Likewise, a God of Wealth character appearing on screen is a theme event unless the rules attach a specific function to it.

The explanation of fixed, progressive and multi-level jackpots helps distinguish prize structures. Those definitions are useful for reading a label, but the slot examples there do not supply the rules of this fishing title.

When comparing arcade features across providers, the Mega Fishing guide to controls and recorded outcomes explains why an input, an animation and an award should be examined separately. Its named features belong to that other product and should not be transferred to Cai Shen Fishing.

What the available descriptions cannot tell you

A maximum reward tells you neither how frequently it occurs nor how much a session is likely to return. A busy shared screen does not establish that another participant’s result changes yours. Without the documented outcome model, neither aiming patterns nor a run of unsuccessful shots supports a reliable probability calculation.

For a disputed feature, keep its full name, the before-and-after counter, the recorded outcome and the relevant help text. Avoid filling gaps from memory or another edition’s video. This article explains terminology and product differences; it does not verify ABC8 availability, provide a winning method or recommend risking money to test a feature.
